Hi,
After years of inactivity here, I have uploaded two new folders. It
would be nice to hear from you how you like them. This one is my
favorite of the Oblomow gig.

I am in the city...

I noticed some clouds from my appartment balcony which seemed to make
an interesting subject to take an image of.
Cheers,

It was done at sundown with a huge dark stormcloud coming over. It's natural light.

This is my friend Hubert in his observatory. Had to use my 12mm lens
to get it all framed. Tried to check whether I could take away the
moon map behind him, but it was glued since 30 years to the dome
walls :) Could get rid of it in Photoshop, but ok, I prefered to
leave it as it is part of the patrimonium.

Yes, I like it. Especially the girl (?) at right.

Very intruiging...but to me the people shouldn't be on the pics. If you can, reshoot please.

Take away the bottle in the foreground... it's quite disturbing. Otherwise very nice image.

Wow, fine one! Too bad the center is a bit burned out.

I like it. Well done!

It's a nice image, but a bit sterile to me. It doesn't really do anything special to me. Esthetics are fine, and the author knows Photoshop very well ;). I guess that is also important...

Hi,
Back here after quite some time. Hope to be posting images more now I
find the time and joy for photography again.
I have put a Ypres folder online with just a few of last weekend
during a city trip to Ypres, Belgium. Tried to subscribe to be able
to post some more, but webserver failed. Try again later :)
In the meantime I switched to digital for 90%, but still use an FM3a
with pleasure.
Cheers for any input,
Dodi

Please rate this folder of a concert of Chanson Flamenca. And if you
ever have the opportunity to see them live, don't miss it!

Well, in fact I use hot water to accelerate the melting process :)
As for moving the hands: nope, every trick I tried failed, because the water gets into the face and freezes the hands, even though I had access to the winding mechanism on the back which I had left out of the water when freezing the clock :)
-
I should call the series "Frozen Time" and stack the individual frames in the different order... Thanks for the input. This is for a photography school engagement, so I know what to do...
There's just no means to move the hands in a block of ice :)

Hi,
I would be grateful if you could rate this sequence. No digital
manipulation of any kind was done, except coloring in photoshop.

See also my comment on the D100 review. I like it a lot, except for long exposures, where the Canon D60 is master of the game. Tho for people not doing astrophotography I don't think it is a major problem except for the most extreme cases. For plain photography the D100 is a gem: sharp, well exposed and fast. My F100 and FE2 are collecting dust for the moment.
-
If you have time to spare, it would be great if I could hear your
opinions on my first D100 B/W portraits. I used a sigma 90mm macro as
a lens, and as usual available light.

And there it goes... the old Ghent post office. Press photographers
and television were standing to the left of the tower. They got a
glimpse of the explosing and were dusted out seconds later as they
located themselves down wind. I managed to get a complet timelapse
series from a rooftop in the neighbourhood.
In the same folder some other images of the tower collapse and the
neighbourhood of the railway station.
