You posted this in the 'Street' category... I must think you did think for a while if this could have been in the Architecture category instead. I must guess that, that human figure shown swayed your choice to what you did. Nice shot!

    Andrjej,

Pity you didn't /couldn't  present this with some realistic horizontal perspective. A crane like that just has to has completly upright to work safely...... but otherwise I think you did a great job in seeing , positioning  yourself and shooting a great POV! The mixed B&W /Colour presentation also adds a bit of intrigue. Old vs new? Traditional vs Modern?

    Steven ,

I love your travelogue stuff, particularly so because so much of it is about the area of where I grew up in and the peoples there. Great Stuff!

And about this photograph that I ran across in the 'Rate Photos' section   - My my! How times have changed. Even roadside sellers now use plastic bags! I wonder what that will do for the environment in the years ahead?

On the other side it makes me smile to note that the 'churpi' hanging from the pole is still presented with the traditional way of a string down strung through those cubes of hard cheese. I remember having several of those in my school day pockets at any given time. Wonder when those might be be sold in sealed plastic bage ...with a Use By/Sell By date?

    Interesting!

I'm sure if this was printed large, and framed  appropiately  and exhibited and  in some high price art gallery, there might be quite some takers!

It's good to try ideas. best wishes - mike

    Beautiful perspective!

(PS, I would have given a bit more space all around the frame to not let me feel that my view was cramped e.g. the tree on the left is slightly cut-off, and the tree on the right is growing out of the edge of the frame rather than the ground, and its top is cut-off at the top. I believe that trees should be shown with more of the space that it occcupies.... End of moan.)

Great shot! A little bit 'blown' on the bottom of the guitar... but also have you tried cropping it to about where the microphone wire ends in view.  best wishes - mike

A most majestic complimentary swirl of a composion. I'm sure you were there with a camera when this happened. Happy hunting for more future shots!

I can't even begin to fathom the light/lighting  situation on this shot. Main light from top/middle left from above...but maybe the dust in the air adds other dimensions.... Great shot!

    This is quite an eye-catcher!

(PS. but looking a moment after the first 'wow' initial impact , I think there are quite some distortion corrections left unaddresed.

I'm not quite decided on what I like or what I less prefer in this image ...but for sure it makes me think about good image making.

P.S. Just for the record I like it more than less.
