I goofed. I meant to say, on E-bay, it is better to buy from an individual rather than a camera shop or an intermediary. Dave

Brendan, I have been lucky in purchasing a Hasselblad kit and a Leica M6 TTL body on E-bay. Both were being offered by photographers. As someone indicated above, I think buying from an individual rather than a camera shop or an intermediary is the way to go. I bought my lens for the M6 from KEH. Dave

Some think Provia is preferable to Velvia for slides.

I think most of my Hassy photos are hand held. I use a pocket level. I try to steady the camera by holding the camera with neck strap taut around my neck.

I had a Kodak Flash Bantam back in the middle 50's. Had it stolen from beside my bed as I slept in my hooch in Korea. A great little camera with the drawback of only 8 exposures on a roll. Took a lot of slides with no light meter with great success. I liked that it fit in a shirt pocket, like my Yaschica T-4 does now.

I, too, use a Gossen Digisix and agree that it is overpriced. It has too many functions other than metering that I never use. But it has been useful and is small and light for travel.
