Love it.

Lighning is hard to shoot well. There is a lot of empty sky and dark foreground in this shot. All I can suggest is waiting for more than one strike if possible so there is a bit more going on.

Very nice. You may want to try burning in the very top eddge a little as the lightness there tends to draw the eye but that's being pretty nitpicky.

Nice concept. I can't decide whether I would like the 'stem' in focus or not

Interesting.

A little known (and littler visited) set of falls about a half hours
rock scramble/wade from the main falls.
There are some untidy branches in the falls but I didn't feel like
risking life and limb to remove them.
Comments very much appreciated

Taken standing on slippery moss-covered rocks in the middle of the
river. I must be mad.
Velvia, 1/4s exposure f/22
It has come out very blue but I think that works here. I'll take my
warming filter next time (when the drought breaks and the river is
flowing again).
Comments appreciated
Thanks

The image is a bit bit to easily view on screen. Other than that there is some lens flare at the top. I'm not sure what you are shooting - the clouds or the water as the horizon is dead centre. I would crop off the top so it is more like 1/3 sky and 2/3 water as the water to me is the more interesting part of the image. that would also get rid of the lens flare. You could even crop the sky out altogether and just leave the refection of the sky in the water.
-
I'd try cropping some of the empty space above and maybe some of the LHS - to where most of the trails end.

Try shooting this while there is still a bit of light in the sky. It will mean you get the lights but the background isn't so heavy and black.

Could just be my monitor but some of the big dark areas are a little overpowering
-
Could just be my monitor but some fill from the lower left to lighten those dark shadows would probably make a diference.
-
I like the concept but the reflection in the shades possibly needs to stand out more. I had a hard time working out what it was.

Taken when my daughter was 1 day old.
For the technical people out there - Window light, Ilford Delta3200.
Scan is from a print on Agfa MG fibre base paper. Original neg was
fairly low contrast so printed at grade 3 1/2.

Aurora photos are hard to get right. You've done well with this one. The only thing to watch is the horizon is not straight and you seem to have some flare from another light source on the bottom left.
