It is a beautiful portrait! Definitely one that I think you will cherish forever. You were smart to shoot it in B&W given the flouresent light of hospitals.

You have done exceedingly well under difficult circumstances, what a lovely photo for you and your family to cherish, she is brand new and beautiful (I presume a girl). The choice in film was good, I used neopan 1600 when my son was born and regretted not having loaded 3200! I really like the tight crop and the B&W solves newborn complexion issues! Well done on all levels!
