  1. KEH would probably pay less, the prices certainly won't go up. But, for $75, wouldn't it be better to keep it and use it? BTW, where did you originally pay $800 for it, is that U.S. dollars?
  2. Caveat Emptor/There's One Born Every Minute/If it seems to good to be true......

Leica dealers sell M8s for $4795; they are obligated to do so. If you find one advertised for less, it's either imported for grey market sale (not elgible for U.S. passport warranty) Or just a flat out scam.

  3. I know it's a folder, but...

I had a Moskva 5 which was really an amazing performer. The 6x9 transparencies it produced were awesome. I used it all over Rome during my thanksgiving vacation, it easily fit into my coat pocket or camera bag. The only problem I've found with the Russian folders is although they cost $40-70 dollars, they usually need over $100 worth of work to make them dependable shooters. Still, to have a pocketable, high quality medium format camera for >200 is pretty good in my opinion.

  4. I've read on previous posts that using the tripod socket as a wrist strap attachment point is potentially harmful. I always carry my camera with the strap wrapped around my arm, with essentially all the weight on one lug. The reason I want to go to the wrist strap is that the neck strap frequently gets in the way when I bring the camera to my eye from being wrapped around my arm. Can anybody confirm whether it's harmful to use the single lug wrist strap? I'm pretty set on the idea, maybe I'll try it out a lot before my passport warranty runs out.
  5. I'm looking for a wrist strap for my MP. I'm trying to avoid the $50 from

buying one from Luigi (I know his are worth it, but the rent's due) I found

this one on auction and wondered if anyone had used it. Item #320116335104 I'm

sure it won't be up to Mr. Crescenzi's standards, but perhaps it will be OK for

    now.
