First, why shouldn't Linhof answer technical questions directed by email to their offices in Germany? (BTY, they finally did.) Second, I'm looking at a camera and lenses imported by HP (yellow warranty card with HP address). Third, every equipment question asked on the internet is answered without a deep probe into its origin. Finally, Mr. Salomon is much more an effective marketer for his employer than a good samaritan and that's fine because most people are helped. In 2003 the market for goods is worldwide and, IMHO, local monopolies are obsolete.

Mr. Salomon, Have you determined that every person whose question that you have so kindly answered, has actually purchased a non gray market product?

I certainly have not enjoyed good customer service from Linhof. Linhof re-directs questions to Mr. Salomon who will not respond if you have a camerra not imported by his company and in my case, even if you do.

My experience with Ebony is that they are extremely responsive and I have had two minor issues resolved within days.

I have a 6X9 camera and I like to use it for extreme close-up work with flowers. Currently, I'm using a Rodenstock Apo-Macro-Sironar f5.6/120mm. Would I be better served by using a telephoto or compact telephoto lens. My camera is an Ebony SV23 and the bellows min/max75mm/420mm. I want to get 1:1 to 2:1,

You might be pleased with the RW45 or the really stripped version by
Robert White, the RSW 45 (non-folding).I own an RW 45 and think that
it is perfect for use in the ourdoors.

In respect to the current 120 Macro offerings from Rodenstock and Schneider, the specs notwithstanding, I am curious about opinions regarding resolution and appropriatenes for use in the macrophotography of flowers. I'm using a 4X5 and will probably try the selected lens on a 6X9.
Close up use of Fujinon 240/f9

I have a Fujinon 240/f9. Is this lens useful for close up flower
photography or is a macro lens more appropriate?
