This lasted about two seconds after the photograph was taken, eroding into oblivion with the
outgoing tide.

I'd vote for a different border (mainly ditch the light gray line). That's the only thing that I can find fault with this image. Quite nice.

Taken at a 19th century artillery emplacement overlooking San Francisco Bay. Converted to
black and white in Photoshop and the slight toning was added.

This photo was taken with a digital camera that had been modified for increased infrared
sensitivity (the internal hot mirror had been replaced with a plain bit of glass). No
modifications were made to the colors other than a simple red-blue channel swap. The
copper color of the streetcar was an unexpected surprise. Some minimal tweaks beyond that
- nothing too intense.
