BTW, the negative was *badly* scratched whilst being sleeved by Photo Factory in Inverness. The initial print was flawless, but the negs have long slightly curving scratches down them.
Wal-greens here in Texas are just as bad, and Pro-processing & printing is a bit expensive.
Solution: switch to shooting 36-exposure rolls of Velvia or Provia and scanning.
