My Mamiya 645AF shutter is stuck closed. It's 20 years old but has been used only twice annually since new. Always worked perfectly, never dropped or been wet.
While shooting the autofocus suddenly stopped, the shutter went to max. speed, and the aperture to minimum.
The batteries are fresh. Advancing the film to the end with mid-roll advance never helped, and nor did switching it off and back on.
Detaching the film holder (possible only with the dark slide inserted; it cannot be removed while the back is detached) is supposed to automatically open the shutter curtain; when I detached the film holder the shutter was fully shut.
Any suggestions? I'm in Vancouver, Canada.
