I think you will find that the Leica S1 is a trilinear scanning
camera (just like a scanner) and the CCD is not 5140 x 5140. It takes
over 3 minutes for exposures.

I just noticed submini.com has updated (or is in the process of updating) their web site, and it indicates they are digitally processing for printing. Some time back I received a mailer from Minoxlabs that they were about to start offering service of transfering "film to CD and the internet".
<p>
Does anyone know more details?

Minox B manual at: http://www.minoxlab.com/minoxb.htm

I have scanned Minox 8 x 11 negatives using th HP Photosmart scanner,
and mounting the negatives in 2 x 2 slide mounts. Obviously the
result at 2400 ppi is not sufficient for large prints, but is
adequate for moniter display. The maximum result is 1039 x 756 pixels.
<p>
This can be done with the HP software, but I prefer Vuescan
<p>
Surely any scanner that scans slides could do the same. Also check:

John,
You'll need to set the meter to the film speed when you load film.
(When the camera is open.)

Go here for Monox B manual: http://www.minoxlab.com/minoxb.htm

What are the options for scanning Minox (8 x 11) film? What scanners and how must the film be mounted in film scanners.
<p>
I wonder what the scan to disk option of Minox Labs is like. What pixel resolution, etc.?
<p>
Thanks, Bob.
Scanning 8 x 11

Ken, I'm sure Martin was suggesting making a conventional optical
print to paper at 8 x 10 inches and scanning that print on a flatbed
scanner as opposed to using a film scanner on such a small
transparancy.
