You have some wonderful ny shots. As a native new yorker, it is easy for me to relate to photos like this (as opposed to the typical ny cliches one usually sees).
One other thing - the photojournalist Don McCullin has a rather famous photo of a similar subject.

Very interesting and unusual ny( i.e., manhattan) street shot. Do you remember what the guy on the right was saying?

I am not certain why some people are getting upset with Chris here. All he did was upload a good picture with an interesting title.
It's up to the viewer to interpret it. As a matter of fact, I think that it would have been best to keep the identity of the "model" a secret. It's more fun that way for the viewer.
As an aside, Chris has two photos, "Portrait of a dead man" and this one, that remind me a lot of Cindy Sherman's staged death photos.

It reminds me of the "boy in the park" photo by Diane Arbus. Both are well composed and pretty expressive.

Great composition. Can you try it in a high contrast black and white film like tech pan? I think it would really bring out the hair "formation".

Beautiful example of liquid emulsion!

I like the composition. My only complaint would be that the two people on the left are too far back.
-
Very nice colors and composition. Could you cut off a bit of the right side to balance the shot?
-
I think it would help if you cropped out the empty right side.
-
I think the bottom portion that is tree-less should be cropped out. Other than that, the contrast and composition is quite nice.

Well the idea is nice. However, it seems to me that the two buildings are a bit unbalanced. Perhaps it would be wise to concentrate on only one of the two (i.e., center the left one).
-
Great idea. It may very well be the best holga picture that I have ever seen !
-
I really like the composition here. Kind of an urban wildlife shot .

I think that the background damages the picture . It's way too drab and bland to match up with your model . Also , a velvia-ish (oversaturated) look would help emphasize the weirdness of the costume.

Sure the chair may be an " ordinary " object , but the way it was captured is anything but . I find the way the chair (and it's shadow) interacts with the black lines to be very captivating .
As an aside , I see no similarity between the "12 chairs" picture and this one . Just because both use chairs does not mean one is a copy of the other .

This is the full negative . The edge just wouldn't fit into the frame . Thanks for all of the comments .

At first glance , I thought it was a shot from a film production . It just seems too powerful to be real . But it is . You've managed to photograph the bare soul of our society with this one .
-
Very elegant . By getting rid of the colour , you can concentrate on the beautiful shapes .
-
Maybe tech pan would help with the tones ?

This reminds me of an idea I had a while back ( non-medical people who hear it laugh it off ). If newspapers would post photos of homicide victims everyday , maybe, just maybe people would become more aware of the problems of society . Then again , weegee had tons of them but that never changed a thing . Not to be too picky , but could the image be a bit brighter ?
