1.
A colleague of mine has a job coming up in a week where she will be photographing people inside a giant snow globe. This will be at a formal evening event. The snow globe is located inside a glass wall. It will be dark outside We are predicting all kinds of problems with this set up...flash reflecting off of the plastic snow globe...flash reflecting off the windows behind the snow globe. This is for a charity fund-raiser, and her equipment is limited to a Nikon D90 and on-camera flash. I don't know which flash she has. She may be able to borrow a soft box from a friend. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

 2.
I hope I am not repeating an earlier post. I have perused this forum and don't see a situation like mine.
I was at the horse races and got a very nice candid shot of the winning owners of a stakes race. They would like to get a 16x20 print, and I have no idea what to charge for it. Since I was there as part of my job, do I strictly charge for the cost of the print? My job does permit me to do freelance work. I use my own equipment. Is it acceptable to mark up the print? If so, how much? Adoramapix can print an mount it between $20-35.

 3.
Lots of great work as usual. Here are my thoughts on a few
Frank B. ~ Cute!
Hamish G ~ Wow. All of those water drops are stunning, but that very large spider is awfully creepy! Great image.
Shun C ~ Nice. I have had daughters playing softball for the past 12 years. Now my oldest has graduated, and my youngest no longer wants to play. I am really going to miss the ball park this spring!
Kent S ~ Adorable little lambs. Perfect as Easter nears.
Rick D ~ Congrats to your daughter's friend, and to you for capturing it!
James K~ Lovely...almost makes me miss snow
Bogdan N~ Love the expression on the little girl on the right
Keith J~ Are those baby squirrels in the glass? I'm sure your cat would much prefer them as a snack!

 4.
From the festival. We have crowds of people invade our small town. The estimate of the influx is about 300,000. I live only a few blocks from the festival grounds, and the crowds were really annoying before I developed an interest in photography. Now I have lots of fun with my camera. Was happy to have my Tamron 18-270 lens to be able to zoom in on people at a distance or out at those close by.

00YYsZ-347919584.jpg.4d6664023653ce1f998365b4cc78b2e0.jpg

 5.
Lots of great work as always. So many flying dogs!
This weekend is the annual Strawberry Festival. Everything is in the process of being set up. Right now all is quiet, but this weekend I will be trapped. I may be able to leave town, but traffic is so bad I can't get back home. Hope to have some fun festival pics next week.

00YWYz-345821584.jpg.9f2f7be333fd0ab1a0facde8741a4bb8.jpg

 6.
A always, plenty of amazing work this week. Thought I'd comment on a few that caught my eye
James Kazan ~ Awesome colors & rhythms
John DiLeo ~ My daughter is a freshman at Tulane! Beautiful campus in a wonderful city.
Lil ~ lovely image; love those waves
Lionel ~ I don't envy you that traffic or the snow!
Nicolaie ~ Perfect timing.
Tim Holte ~ Your image proves that it is not the equipment that makes a photo

Mine was at a local park. I think the dog won this battle of the wills.

00YU2P-343681584.jpg.8bec4707c972560dada61d103f3a79cb.jpg

 7.
Tucumcari, New Mexico. Make sure to stop at Lena's Cafe! It is a block off the main drag. Fantastic food, and wonderful owners. Make sure you visit with them. Also, lots of funky old motels. Hope you have a great trip!

 8.
I prefer the original. You have lost that lovely white space in the upper right. I do think you contact info is more prominent now though. Perhaps you could run the other text along the bottom and move the contact info down. I like the crest. You are from a part of the world that is highly decorative, and I think it is appropriate. As an artist, part of what you are selling is your aesthetic sense. If a potential client doesn't relate to your card, they wont relate to your work either.

 9.
Rizwan, As a graphic designer, I think your card is beautiful. I think the balance is fine the way it is. The text on the bottom is too close to the edge though. I would move everything but your name up to allow 1/4 white space on the bottom. Steve and Vick do have a good point about the font size of your contact info. I think it could be hard to read at actual size.

 10.
Rene', Your photos are chilling. I just glanced quickly at them, but plan to return an look more closely. Thank you for sharing a happy story! It is good to know that some families are finding each other against all odds. Keeping you and your countrymen in my prayers!
