The shape of the church echoes the pattern of the tombs in the foreground. The path connects both. The sunset, clouds and light contribute to the mood, but in my opinion these are only part of what makes this photograph so effective. The pattern of shapes and lines is what gives the interest and invites one to "walk" into the picture, and stay looking at the details. A wonderful picture!

I would appreciate receiving comments (positive or negative). This is
from a visit to a National Park called Koli. This area has been
popular with Finnish painters for a long time. (Negative film scanned
to CD-ROM by commercial mail-order lab.)

The darkness of the sky contrasts with the bright flowers, and adds a lot of tension. The few pink flowers in front on the right side I think are very important for the composition. Great picture, although a bit disturbing.

Very nice composition, the background drives the eye to the subject. The sloping twig adds tension.
Congratulations!

All comments welcome. I think the asymmetry of the flower makes the
photograph interesting. Thanks in advance.
