This is one of my favourite nature spots in Korea. Each time I go
hiking at Juwang Mountain along the South Eastern coast area of Korea
I make an effort to visit this enchanting place. The trees growing in
the lake are unique and really cool. Even though the rain was pouring
down, my clothes soaked and camera about to malfunction, I still
managed to spend an hour here admiring the beauty.

One of my favs from 2006, an extremely high detailed capture of the
FPSO(floating production, storage and offloading) vessel parked near
my apt at the Hyundai Shipyard. The engineers were pulling another
all-nighter because the lights were on at 1am when this shot was taken.
HDR processed.

Here, the elders look upon a young girl as she learns the proper
technique of traditional bowing before she can turn it into an art
form. The beauty of the hanbok has been the Korean people's unique
traditional costume for thousands of years. Today, the hanbok is worn
on days of celebration such as Chuseok.

Trapped in the middle of this apartment complex, all I can do is look
up and snap. Hope the chosen POV won't make you dizzy.

I couldn't resist taking this photo at a wedding reception. Had the
B&W/selective colour in mind before I shot it. Hope you enjoy it.

Street markets are a means of economic well-being for a large
population of Koreans. In my neighbourhood, they set up market at
least once a week and then migrate to a different neighbourhood the
next day, so on and so forth.
In this scene the umbrellas really caught my eye as they bunched up so
closely together to protect the vendors from the glaring sun. I waited
for a pedestrian with an umbrella to walk by to add an extra element
to the scene.
Trying to avoid distrating the viewer too much with a multitude of
different colours, I converted it to B&W for simplicity sake.
Feedback welcome...

This was from a native indian performance in Korea. I absolutely loved
their music so I stuck around and snapped a few shots. This one, the
cheif was doing his warrior dance in front of a decent size crowd.
Decide to go with black and white cause that is how I pictured it in
my mind when I took it. Comments welcome..

It was a moody night with gloomy skies and the moon looming in the
background. Decided to look for something interesting to shoot that
would fit the mood. Walking around my neighbourhood I finally found
something decent, a church. Conments welcome...

This is from Buddha's Birthday in Korea. Hundreds of people shared
hands with all the monks in the event of lighting the lanterns in the
main courtyard of a famous temple which lasted over 30 mins. Comments

Trapped in the middle of this apartment complex, all I can do is look
up and snap. Hope the chosen POV won't make you dizzy. I was trying to
be creative with my ultra-wide lens that day. B&W conversion via lab
colour in Photoshop. Adjusted curves and added a hint of blue to
remind myself what a cold place it felt like.

I caught a good sight of these apartment blocks from my hike up a
local mountain over the weekend. Looking at the photo later on my
computer screen I felt a bit dizzy, enclosed and unable to escape the
sensation of claustrophobia.

These are pillars of a bridge I frequent quite often. I decided to go
with the square format to make the photo a little more symmetrical
with the objects in view. They look interesting enough so I might go
and try a few different angles next time. Comments welcome...
