A less expensive alternative to the quantum turbo batteries is the black box: http://www.aljacobs.com/THE%20BLACK%20BOX.htm

You might also consider the CP-E4 battery pack made by Canon.

The only advantage to the 24-70 over the 17-55 is the somewhat narrower DoF offered on the full frame camera and the ability to use it on both 5D and 40D for different ranges. Not necessarily a great need...

Seems like your lens lineup covers the important ranges, except that your 5D is a little limited on the wide end. I personally still want a 35L like you have. I never bought (and kept) an ef-s type standard zoom, so I have a 24-70L.

I don't see anything wrong with your lens selection. Good primes, the best aps-c standard zoom...nothing to really fix there.

Canon 40D, Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens @ 45mm, f/3.2, 1/250 sec. shutter speed, no flash.

Post processed in Adobe Lightroom, including altering clarity to let some of the face detail bloom in haze. This shot really draws on my personality; I like dreamy, timeless scenes in old black & white style.

I've been shooting weddings for about a year now.

For indoor ceremonies I don't know that f/4 is enough. 70-200 lenses are LONG on crop sensor cameras.

Small spaces, probably the Tamron 17-50 or Canon 17-55 if you don't want to get a separate ultra-wide like the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8.

Tamron 28-75 works for detail shots; if you need closer, buy a set of kenko extension tubes.
