honestly I have to say that I don?t like this picture very much. just like 80% of the so-called "top-ten" pictures on photo.net this "photo" is not anymore a photo but a artificial product of photoshop.
You do have extremly good pictures in your portfolio and I think you are especially talented in shooting pictures in perfect light conditions. this picture is too much edited with photoshop. I think you should stick to achieve good pictures by using light, composing and experimenting with techniques, less then with photoshop and following this trend that every good picture is a dodged and burned photo that has nothing to do with capturing real-life moments.
well thats just my humble opinion but I like to say it because I don?t support this post-edit-products showed here all the time. I would love to see the original photos!
of course photoshop or post-editing has got its place with photography but I think it depends on the situation. For sure, because this photo is in your "creative" part and therefore ment to be an experiement. But I think this picture would have been much nicer and more powerfull in B/W and a decent use of light to transit its massge.
It reminds me aswell to Muenchs "der Schrei", which is very very good done. For me its just too sad, that you changed a good photo in photoshop to a picture that can?t be seriously called a photo.
best wishes, marcel

Hello Paulo,
i think this picture is awesome. Not only because I like redwine that much.. no, your composition is very nice and you paid attention to every detail. Especially the contrast between the soft light at the bottom and the sharp reflecting light on the redwine glass is awesome. The reflection at the table(!?) is superb and shows your ambition to use the light in a special way. Over all the tones add together perfectly and greate a nice mood. Finally to add a little critique I have to admit that even everything seems to be excellent with this photo I feel like the picture could be better. I think of a warmer mood and a special effect. Well, that's only my humble opinion. Anyway a very good picture: 6/6

hello calvin,
I don't think you have to improve anything with this picture. I agree with the comment before: as a musician I miss nothing. this picture has incredible tense because of the selective focus and very very sharp contrast. The tones are pretty.Congrats! 7/7

Hello,
I like the composition and the amazing sky. The contrast between the tree which has no leafs and the one who has leafes is also a symbolic element. Just to add some critique: I don't like that the picture looks too artificial beacause of the unusual colours. I am not sure if I would prefer a black/white version of this photo! But excellent work!
Greetings, Marcel

Hey,
it still looks a little bit dark on my monitor (at Melbourne City Library). But indeed a awesome picutre - I can imagine how it looks with a little bit more contrast.
