Thanks for the info guys, I'll give it a try as see what I think, I do wear glasses, but I do like the higher magnification, that is exactly what I love about my Leica R4 cameras.
And yes, I will be adding a few F4's and a few F5's to the collection. I presently have a F100 coming in too.

Just wondering if anyone has any pluses to using a F3 using the
standard non-highpoint finder. Reason for this question was a used F3
and MD4 in good condition for $250. I couldn't pass up the deal. I
was looking for a camera to leave in my car, so when I need one, I
have one. Even though I have two other F3HP's and a F3T, all mint, I
am hesitant to leave one of those in my car. But now after pulling
the trigger on ebay, I am wondering about the difference of the
viewfinder?
Of course when I questioned myself as if I need another camera, the
answer came back, "Can a man own enough cameras? No", was the only
logical response.
I must admit a fondness for the F3, presently I have 3 FG's, 1 FE2, 1
FM2T, 1 FA, 1 8008s, 1 F70QD, 2 F90x, 1 N80 and some Leica and Canon
FD gear.
I am very interested in reading others comments about the standard
viewfinder based F3.

Where on ebay, I searched all over it?

Do any of you guys know where one may buy a replacement rubber eyecup
for the Canon Speedfinder?

I was reviewing my lenses and thought about a few that I am going to
buy early this year, but after thinking further about this, I
remembered the thread here about the Zeiss lenses and thought - What
other non-Nikon lens are out there that are even better than the
Nikon offerings? Very interested in seeing what others think of the
other brands, Sigma, Tokina, Tamron, etc....

I have been watching ebay and few other sites for another F3HP,
especially since Nikon's announcement of discontinueing almost all of
their film SLR's I figured many are going to rush out and grab what
they can. So one late night I decide to check ebay, and sure enough
there is a Nikon F3HP newly listed, it's listed as mint and the
photos seem to agree. Opening bid $325 and a buyitnow of $335. I
check the seller's feedback all is well. So I pull the trigger on it,
all the time thinking well there must be something wrong with the
camera, it seemed too low of a price for such a stellar example of an
F3HP.
So I send the seller the money and it takes him a few weeks to get me
the camera, I was getting a little worried that I had been screwed
over. Well I finally receive the camera, and it is mint as if it just
came out of the box.
Well here's the rub, I install a lens, 50mm f1.2, look through the
viewfinder, I can't get it to focus. I try another lens 35-200mm
zoom, again no focus. Now I am thinking this camera has been
internally damaged somehow. I remove the finder look around in there,
still can't find nothing wrong. Then it dawns on me, remove the
eyepiece, yep they had diopter adjusted eyepiece. Check it without
that eyepiece and it looks beautiful!
So I email the seller and ask "Did you have a problem focusing this
camera, I can't get it to focus?" His response, "I had no problems
with focusing, I am just a amatuer, enjoy the camera."
I send him a followup, telling him that I found the problem, that
eyepiece was non-standard, but it was diopter adjusted. His
response "Really, I wish I didn't sell it".
Sometimes, there is justice in this crazy world.

I have a R4 that the aperture linkage doesn't work, basically when
taking pics the aperature doesn't automatically close on the lens,
tried different lenses, same results. Do you know of any good repair
companies in Chicago area for Leica?

I was wondering if there is any issues with using one of the
newer "G" series lenses on a N90s? Some of the new G lenses look very
nice, I like the capabilities and the prices.

Yes, but thanks for that just in case. I am pressing the little button at the same time trying to slide the tab of the film speed dial. Two broken thumb nails to prove it. Next step, bigger hammer!

I have a Canon AE-1 Program that I bought back in 1986, I only use it
randomly. My problem is the film speed adjustment is stuck, I read
somewhere that this is a common problem. How do you guys handle this
issue?

I have read on a few camera review sites about how some love the FG
and how some hate it and discount it as a toy. I realize that yes, it
wasn't designed to replace the F3, but I think it is a very capable
piece of photography equipment. I bought my first FG in 1986 and have
used it for many years, and eventually ended up buying a FE2, FM2T,
FA, F3HP, and even moved into autofocus with a few F90x's, N80 and a
F100 and an F4s, but for some reason, I still grab the FG, especially
once I installed the MD-14 motordrive. Maybe because it seems like an
old friend, but I'll tell you that the MD14 makes it seem more like a
pro type piece of gear, versus the toy some think it is.
My question is home many who like or dislike the FG, have used it
with a motordrive? The MD14 is a stought piece, same specs as a MD12,
3.2 fps.
Curious....

I have heard from a few people that Nikon flashes are manufactured by
Sunpak, I realize that Nikon outsources and that this could be, but
am wondering if it was true, or just unfounded rumor?

I highly recommend the 35-300mm f3.5-4.5 AIs, great zoom, plus it has macro capacbilities. Compact for it's size (when not extended, or in macro). I bought it because Moose Peterson recommended it in his Nikon Systems guide, and I haven't been disappointed!

I love my 35-200mm AIs zoom, covers allot of territory with it, that and a 20mm and I am set for the majority of what I may come accross. The 35-200mm new in the US typically goes for around $900+, but one can find a mint ones on ebay for around $400.
Nikon 80-200mm AF lenses, differences, recommendations...

Next week I am buying a Nikon 80-200mm lens, I know there are few
different versions, I am not buying a "S" version, but wanted some
info on these. I found an obscure little camera shop that has a bunch
of Nikon gear and super low prices, I think they are just trying to
get rid of inventory, but even if the prices are low, I don't want to
get a lens that may not be one of the better examples. It must be
a "D" lens, so that focal length info is processed. I have an older
300mm f4 that I bought before they came out with "D" lenses and I
love the pics taken with it, but figured going forward that I would
make sure everything I buy in AF would be compatible with digital
cameras, to minimize that day I am assimilated into the digital relm.
