  1. I have to agree on the Arca-Swiss. I switched from an Ebony SV45U to the Arca field camera and have never looked back. I even bought the 8x10 conversion kit for it... something you may want to think about down the road, Jennifer, if you want to go bigger. Yes, they are expensive, but they are worth it. If you decide on one, give Rod Klukas at Photomark in Phoenix a call at 602-244-1133. Good luck.
  2. We have one of those Maytag clothes dryers with a top portion so you can

hang/lay delicates to dry wrinkle-free. We have never used the top portion (and

probably never will, living in AZ where things dry as soon as you take them out ;^).

I was wondering if anyone had tried drying negatives in one of these? I want to use

it for 8x10 negs... the cabinet I have will only handle 10 4x5s or one 8x10. I know, I

have to try myself, but before I waste a sheet or two of film I thought I'd ask.

    Thanks.

  3. I third the suggestion to call Rod and get an Arca. I had an Ebony prior to moving to Arizona and meeting Rod, joining his LF class. I find the Arca MUCH easier to set up and take down, and it takes up the same amount of space and weighs pretty much the same as any other field camera. You will love it.
