The Bahnar are an ethnic group living in the Central Highlands and the
nearby coastal provinces of Vietnam. Some of the most warmhearted
and beautiful people I've ever met. Please C&C...

A little shy but curious girl around Phan Thiet harbour, Vietnam.
I cropped the 1st picture after reading David L. Forney's so helpful
comment. Here's what he wrote about the 1st picture :
"Alain, This is a wonderful capture. I love her eyes and catchlight, skin
tones, the lighting and the natural look of the image. I would experiment
with cropping some of the image off of the bottom below her elbow. Just
a thought. Great image. David"
David, you were right. The crop makes it stronger and more intimate.
The eye focuses better on the girl's face. Thank you very much for your
suggestion! Best regards, Alain

I agree this representation of death is harsh... But what happened in the head of the anonymous rater who rated it 3/3 ?

You who see this picture, what does it generate in your mind ? Any constructive thoughts or comments welcome, positive or negative...
Thanks, Alain

Mark : thank you very much for your nice comments !
Gerry : of course you're right ! I agree with you that those eyes staring into space weaken the picture, and that the conjonctiva is too obvious. I guess the flowers on her cloth is slightly distracting, too. This was my first shooting with a model. Unfortunately I don't have a similar picture with her looking at the camera. However the looking-away eyes make us wonder about who is this girl and about her thoughts, which could be nostalgic or a little sad... So I decided to upload this photo anyway. I'll try to post another picture with Lynn looking at us. I really thank you for your comments. I do appreciate such a honnest and helpful feedback !
