  1. I found two old lenses from a local recycle centre. Lenses are Auto

Popular 1:3,5 200mm and Auto Popular 1:2,8 28mm. Which cameras are

those suitable with and are they worth anything? Apparently they are

some cheap copies of some other brand, because I can't find any

information about them from the web or elsewhere.

  2. I know that you can do anything digitally nowadays, you don't have to tell it to me. If I wanted to do the trick digitally, would I be asking these questions here? No.

What I don't know is that can I still get materials for making pure b&w pictures. Are Ilford Ortho Plus B&W Film or Kodak Camera 2000 CGP Film suitable for making those? Now, if someone who really knows about this subject would answer, I would be very grateful.

  3. Thank you for the tip Conrad! I'll try that if I can't get high contrast film.

I browsed trough sites related to this subject and found films which I believe would be suitable: Ilford Ortho Plus 4x5" B&W Film and Kodak Camera 2000 CGP Films.

Both are said to be ideal for line works and both have very high contrast. Would either one be suitable for the experiment? Ilford isn't even so expensive that I expected so I might take a try.

  4. How do I make an image with no shades of gray, so called high

contrast image? What films do I need and how does the process go? I

have a darkroom with all the equipment available so all I need is

    the right films and developers.

I have been reading a book called Experimental Photography by John

Warren and it has instructions for making this kind of picture. In

the book this procedure is called line conversion. For this

procedure I would need Kodak Reproduction 4566 line film but it has

been discontinued. This film was for making a film positive if I

understood correctly. Then I would need Kodalith Ortho 4556 Type 3

film to make a high contrast negative from that positive but it has

    also been discontinued.

So with what films could I replace those two to make that

experiment? Or have I misunderstood the whole thing?
