Of course, on some Canon models (e.g.30D) the intermediate ISO settings are managed via computation, not amplifier feeds. The base ISO is that nearest the setting.

Jim is right about jpgs. My solution is to copy jpgs to a working file and play with them there. Even ones I've made from raw files go into the "originals" directory, if I want to tweak them a little first copy to the "processing" directory. Also, try not to reformat the camera memory card(s) until you have two copies somewhere else (eg on CD and hard drive). -Mark
