My favorite shot in your portfolio. There is an "electric" connection between subject and photographer that charges this image. -
Very creative shot. Composition, placement of the door-having to peek around the corner- and the choice to distort the door all add to the mystery and intrigue of this shot. The curved lines of the door versus the straight lines of the walls, the choice of black and white all add up here. This simple image has a lot going for it.

This has the potential to be a very good environmental portrait. I think her expression is lacking something, and the lighting is too hard. Direct overhead lighting would be more intimate and dramatic, in my opinion. Perhaps you had no control over that, and were working with what was there. Anyway, keep it up.
