Has a nice timeless quality to it ... and you've got the subtle dramatic lighting thing going there ... and the ever-popular smoky/misty/veily thing, too. But, somehow, for me, I wish we could see more clearly her expression; all of the other elements broadcast to us that there's something important going on inside of her, but we are only teased into believing this ... so we don't believe, ultimately. The gestures, though strongly stated, just don't carry the day ... in a way. But that's me ... and that's a critique that has it's eye on the 7/7 prize. I'm sure others will love the very things that I've found lacking. :-)

My favorite shot in your portfolio. There is an "electric" connection between subject and photographer that charges this image.

Excellent expression, I would have liked it better if some portions of the highlights were not overexposed

Strong and subtle at the same time. I really like her provocative/challenging look into the lens, and the casual disarray of her hair falling over the right eye.
