As you might imagine, I shot this in color, but the shadows and grass detail look so good in black & white that I converted it.

    thanks for your kind critque!

    Hey Chris,

Unbeknownest to you.. at least possibly, I've had you as one of "the people you're interested in" for some time. You're an amazing photographer. I also like the fact that you (Ray as well) try to capture the best possible image, and keep the post processing to a minimum.

I shot at Zabriskie for several hours and I was lucky enough to capture a few good images. Thanks so much for your kind critque. I means a lot.

    Best,

It wasn't too "old", it's actually a 2007... but it was (as friends and co-workers call it) "Rhonda-cized"... i.e. just one of many possessions that either my now ex took or I couldn't afford to keep once she "kept" all my mula... ;-)

PS.. it was a fantastic car... and it's in a good home.

  1. I can't understand it either. I truly don't know if it's a 7/7 shot, but I know that it's not a 3/3. I shot it during a photography workshop a few weeks ago and the instructor and his assistant, and the other students in the workshop talked about it and praised it for... 10-15 min.

I think the ratings that people give to other photographer's work often give more of an insight into the person giving the rating, than the image being rated... i.e. some people an agenda for no apparent reason.

thanks for the kind critque, Juan. Happy shooting!

    Hi Jackie,

thanks for the critque. I debated the crop for a while as well. I was actually able to get this close to the bird for this shot. good advice though.. Thanks.
