1.
Hi,

I have been photographing many events and party's over the years. The problem I have is my auto focus finds it hard to pick up focus in dark rooms. I have up to date canon cameras and fast f2.8 canon lens. I don't have this problem when the room is in daylight or lighting is good. I use flash for 85% of my working with indoors photography.

When I am working with a video person his lights help out with the focusing . I was wondering if any one uses a LED light attached to a bracket with your flash .

Any help would be great.

thanks,

Marc

  2.
Hi Fellow photographers,
I am looking for a new software to make slideshow . I used IDVD on my old computer.
This was not included on my new Imac.
I am thinking of a high res slideshow with some nice effects , also able to add music .

Must be mac compatible .

Many thanks,

  3.
Hi,

I have never been happy with my Mark 3 for sport. I do top end soccer in the uk and europe . I use my 2n's which I find better for me then the mark 3. The great thing about the Mark 4 is that strait out of the box with only a few corrections I was getting better quality pictures from my old cameras . Not only in floodlight conditions but in normal light. It read the image with a sharper edge on all my lens from 400 mm f2.8 to 16 mm 2.8 . Each sport is very different and football(soccer) has many different angles and option within the game. We do not live in the film world for sports any more , so looking back is not an option. It is very true being confident in your gear and also keeping up with your fellow photographers in a pro market . Missing a picture is not a option if you want to get top quality work.

Love to see some of your work Scott. Also your custom function for your focus on the Mark 3.

thanks,

marc

  4.
Hi All,
I can't give you any other information until monday.I bought my camera about a year ago and it has not worked well . I have a mark IIn and that work 30 to 40% better then the mark III.
I have been told by the engineer at canon that this software has been working well . I hope this is a report from photographers and not marketing from canon.

I will keep you informed on what they did.

  6.
Hi,

I have been shooting as a pro since 1986, so maybe not too old. What I was applying was when I started in photography it was mostly in slide and B/W . I have a client that likes this effect. It does not rock my boat.

When I started I worked with a old pro called Mac .This scottish picture editor would give you a roll of black and white film for each job. This was bulked loaded so you did not know if you had 36 frame or 30 . If he used to look through your image more then one time you where in trouble. Happy days:-)

Thanks for all your help . I still don't get it, so maybe a online video show may help me .

  7.
Hi All,
I can't see to make this work.I open the image went to Layer to Duplicate Layer , then Image and selected Grayscale- Flatten OK to make it B/W. I then clicked on Eraser With a white line going across my picture and I can't select Feather when I go in Select. I enclose a picture i want to work on .
Sorry for my photoshop skills.

  8. Hi Greg,

Nice pics for a first time. when I can use flash I do . I would put your camera to 400 or 800 ASA and set it to manual at 250th if you can on 5.6 or F8 . It is important to have a good depth of field and a high flash shutter speed which will synch with your camera . Mine is 250th but you can get away with 125th of a second. The most important part of a good sports pictures is timing and that comes with practice. Good luck , boxing is a great sport to get amazing images.
00QGBU-59137684.jpg.42bca4c95f9054908d161be82249ad66.jpg
