1.
Hello everyone. I have recently been trying to do some time lapse photography. My question is: I have the canon markIII 1Ds, it has the mirror lock up funtion. Is it safe to leave the camera for 3-4 hours with the lock up funtion on or ist it best to leave the camera to open the mirror every time it takes a picture. I am talking about 1000 pictures in that time lapse. Thanks.

  2. Hello, I just took a 45 minutes exposure on a mark III 1 Ds and it has more than 15 minutes rercording the image on the card and it has not finished. What is the normal

Time it should take the camera to record the image or is this normal?

  3. Hello everyone,

I am planning on buying the canon mp-e 65mm lens and I want to set it up with a flash unit. I have read excellent

reviews about both macro flash units, but still can't decide on which one to buy. So my question is which one would

suit best the mp-e macro lens? the ring or the twin?

    Thanks for the advise.

  4. Hello everyone. I am just curious about one thing. I have a couple of friends

that just opened a restaurant. So I asked them if I could take some pictures

with the restauran theme. What I did was to take a glass bowl and fill it with

club soda and then immersed different objects and took the pictures. One of the

objects was a Zippo lighter and the brand name is clearly visible. I am not

profiting for the pictures. Would I still need the company permission to show

the photo at my friends restaurant. And could I upload it to the site without

worrying about any legal actions. Or is this question just plain stupid? Thanks

for the help and have a good day or night.

  5. Hello everyone. I just wanted to ask what would be a better buy, the 50 or the

    35. I have a camera with a 1.3x factor so that would make the 50 an 85 and the

35 an 46. Considering that the 50stops down to 1.2 and the 35 to 1.4. The use I

plan to give it is for mainly portraits in low light situations but without

loosing interaction with the subjects. Any advice would be great, thanks.

  6. Hello Robert, Thanks for all the help, but still no luck. I tried everything you told me and still the thumbnails dont show the photos. Anyway I am going to try and consult with friend that is a technician. Thanks again for all the help. If anything comes up I will let ou know.
  7. Hello everyone. I just finished the installation of photoshop CS3. When I open

a photo in raw format it takes me to Bridge, the problem is that unlike CS2 the

picture does not displays in the thunmbnails. Only the icon showing CR2

appears. So I only see all the icons and file numbers until I open an specific

photo. I have the Mark III 1D and I already downloaded the Raw plug-in for this

camera. Can anyone help me or explain why this is happening. Thanks.

  8. Hello everyone. I have been doing some research in the past couple of days as of

what backpack should I buy for all my equipment. Currently I have a shoulder bag

but it is getting to heavy to move around and have to constantly change

shoulders. Is ti really much difference between a canon 42 dollar backpack from

other more expensive brands? I currently have a canon 30d and avariety of lenses

from wide to tele. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  9. thanks for the advice. I went on the ride yesterdady and really took al the equipment I could cary without a bag. Unfortunatly it went from a really sunny day to overcast about one hour before my ride. I tried my best. Then when the ride was over the sun came out. I managed to get some decent photos of the carnival from thr ground. Any ways thanks for all the advice. And I just cant wait to get into another helicopter.
  10. Hello everyone. Tomorrow I will be going on a helicopter ride to photograph

the Dominican carnival in the province of La Vega and i will like to know if

someone could give me some advice as of what equipment to bring. I have the

Canon Rebel XT, the 30D, and for lenses I have the 17-85mm, the 28-135mm and

the 100-400mm. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  11. Hello everyone,

I'm taking RAW pictures for the first time. Now I am having trouble oppening

them with photoshop. I was told to open photoshop, go to browse, select the raw

image and open it. But photoshop says "could not complete your requestbecause is

not the right kind of document"

Another thing is that the files are downloading as ".cr2" I don't know what this

means, maybe it is the cause for not oppening inphotoshop.

i have some pictures for an assignment due on monday, can anyone please help me

    with this?

  12. Hello Everyone, Next week I am going to be traveling to New York and

I would like to take my camera with me. The thing is that

temperatures are going to be ranging from -3 to 6 Celsius. Since I

live in the Dominican Republic, the lowest I get in my hometown is

16Celsius. First of all is it recommended to use this equipment in

such temperatures and if yes, is there anything that I should take

    into consideration. Thanks.
