Hello everyone. I have recently been trying to do some time lapse photography. My question is: I have the canon markIII 1Ds, it has the mirror lock up funtion. Is it safe to leave the camera for 3-4 hours with the lock up funtion on or ist it best to leave the camera to open the mirror every time it takes a picture. I am talking about 1000 pictures in that time lapse. Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I am planning on buying the canon mp-e 65mm lens and I want to set it up with a flash unit. I have read excellent
reviews about both macro flash units, but still can't decide on which one to buy. So my question is which one would
suit best the mp-e macro lens? the ring or the twin?
Thanks for the advise.

Hello everyone. I am just curious about one thing. I have a couple of friends
that just opened a restaurant. So I asked them if I could take some pictures
with the restauran theme. What I did was to take a glass bowl and fill it with
club soda and then immersed different objects and took the pictures. One of the
objects was a Zippo lighter and the brand name is clearly visible. I am not
profiting for the pictures. Would I still need the company permission to show
the photo at my friends restaurant. And could I upload it to the site without
worrying about any legal actions. Or is this question just plain stupid? Thanks
for the help and have a good day or night.

Hello everyone. I just wanted to ask what would be a better buy, the 50 or the
35. I have a camera with a 1.3x factor so that would make the 50 an 85 and the
35 an 46. Considering that the 50stops down to 1.2 and the 35 to 1.4. The use I
plan to give it is for mainly portraits in low light situations but without
loosing interaction with the subjects. Any advice would be great, thanks.

Camera Raw 4.1 update, this is the plug-in I downloaded and I put in Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats
Thanks

Hello everyone. I just finished the installation of photoshop CS3. When I open
a photo in raw format it takes me to Bridge, the problem is that unlike CS2 the
picture does not displays in the thunmbnails. Only the icon showing CR2
appears. So I only see all the icons and file numbers until I open an specific
photo. I have the Mark III 1D and I already downloaded the Raw plug-in for this
camera. Can anyone help me or explain why this is happening. Thanks.

Hello everyone. I have been doing some research in the past couple of days as of
what backpack should I buy for all my equipment. Currently I have a shoulder bag
but it is getting to heavy to move around and have to constantly change
shoulders. Is ti really much difference between a canon 42 dollar backpack from
other more expensive brands? I currently have a canon 30d and avariety of lenses
from wide to tele. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What would be the best way to get star trails with a digital camera? I have
heard that very long exposures in digital are a lot more noisier than with film?
Thanks.

I managed to get some decent photos of the carnival from thr ground. Any ways thanks for all the advice. And I just cant wait to get into another helicopter.

Hello everyone,
I'm taking RAW pictures for the first time. Now I am having trouble oppening
them with photoshop. I was told to open photoshop, go to browse, select the raw
image and open it. But photoshop says "could not complete your requestbecause is
not the right kind of document"
Another thing is that the files are downloading as ".cr2" I don't know what this
means, maybe it is the cause for not oppening inphotoshop.
i have some pictures for an assignment due on monday, can anyone please help me
with this?

Thanks for the tips. I feel more comfortable bringing the camera now.

Hello Everyone, Next week I am going to be traveling to New York and
I would like to take my camera with me. The thing is that
temperatures are going to be ranging from -3 to 6 Celsius. Since I
live in the Dominican Republic, the lowest I get in my hometown is
16Celsius. First of all is it recommended to use this equipment in
such temperatures and if yes, is there anything that I should take
into consideration. Thanks.
