Which version do I have to download? How do I know if my computer is one kind
or the other?

The contrast and saturation you apply in your camera does not modify the raw files, are only instuctions. Your raw files has a small jpeg file which was created with your in-camera contrast and saturation adjustments.
First, lightroom reads the small jpeg inside your raw files and it takes more time to read your real raw files. As soon as it has read your raw files it changes the preview. That's why you see the in-camera adjustements for a while.

It means that the aplication you used to create or modify the tiff writed something in a metadata field. Usualy is just an anottation that says that it has been edited by that aplication.

I have the same problem but only with photos from my new D300, the ones taken with the D70s work fine
-
The dust removal feature of Capture NX works fine with photos (.NEF) and dust
references (.NDF) taken with my D70s but with the photos and dust references
taken with my D300 it shows a message telling that there are no dust reference
files in the folder. The .NDF files are there.
Anybody can help?

In my D300 a blank 2 Gb memory card says it will store 75 images(RAW 14bit
loosless compressed) The reality is that I can take between 110 and 120
pictures, it is a huge error!
It happens to you too?
It's the card or the camera?

OK I should say I nener used children keywords. Try right clicking on top of any thumbnail, there is an option that says "write keywords A,B to the selected photo, A and B are the keywords with the +.
-
Thank you for the help but I have never used parents,
-
In the left panel list of keywords, some has an + after the word. What does it
means?

Thank you for all the help.

Why some pros carry two camera bodies? With film it was to have different
films, like BW and color or diferent iso, but with digital?

Is any advantage to shoot whith a gradual density filter rather than making a
double exposure and creating the grad in photoshop? It looks to me that there
is alot more control and quality with the double exposure. Apart from being
easier, the grad filter looks like no sense if you have the opportunity to
double exposure. Am I right?

I have all my fotos organized by categories and suplemental categories in the
ICPT metadata. When I ask lightroom to find picures which include ARC
(architecture)doesn't find anything, no matter if I say "any
metadata", "all", "IPTC" or contains, contains any, starts. The same happens to
all categories and suplemental categories. It looks like Ligtroom doesn't looks
at all the IPTC fields, Anyone knows how to solve this?

Thank You, Joe. Problem solved. How complicated it was, I didn't understand what I was doing but following step by step I finaly did it. Thanks!
