I UNDERSTAND THE QUALITY OF THE PHOTO IS POOR. I'm looking to get a

second opinion on the identification of this bird. I'm leaning toward

Ruddy Ground Dove but the pinkish legs are throwing me off. I took it

in June of 2005 at the Smithsonian located in Panama City, Panama.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! Cory

For me, being more of an artist than a journalist, well I can see both sides of the discussion. But for me, knowing that that is not how it looked from behind the camera is a problem. not taking anything away from the shot, but I enjoy seeing the microphone, it IS what they are singing to, it's what THEY are focusing on. I guess I like the authentic more so than anything. I mean, I mess around in photoshop, but rarely, I mean, that may be evident in my sub-par ratings haha, but My photos are for the most part, what I saw. I think that goes a long way and I, personally, enjoy that more than anything. Put me where you were. Great portfolio by the way. I love every minute of it. Cheers, Cory

Nice, that must have been incredible! I have some shots I took of Del and his boys at a festival here in PA we got to play before them earlier in the afternoon, and got a chance to meet them backstage... good bluegrass in unforgettable...

I just saw one of these in central Pennsylvania about a month ago!!! it was amazing to see this far south, and one of the most beautiful bids i've ever seen! Thanks for sharing! the bird seems mighty interested in you too!

that's cool, we all are new... there's some people on this site that rate tough... it seems they almost want to purposely discourage some of us less equipped folk from even trying... haha don't let it get to ya though... keep up the good work. i like photos like this, they're more honest than anything.

can you? well, first off, its a fast moving object the size of a house fly... so i'm pretty happy with how it came out... it think it's an interesting shot, and i think it came out as clear as you're gonna get it for and insect flying at a quick pace with a camera like i have. but thanks for your comment.
