The tight crop next to her right eye is because she was holding a teddy bear - shame! And that's why I think her eye is darker - very distracting I know! And yes you are right about the bottom being distracting. Many thanks for the advice, I'm learning all the time with input from yourselves - thank you

I am looking into becoming a portrait photorapher later in the year
and realise I have a long way to go any criticism and advice would we
hugely appreciated.

This is a picture of my children on holiday. As you can see my
daughter is not happy with hsomething and her brother is taking
great delight in knowing this. This picture really captures the
typical younger brother older sister scenario.
