I myself is a fan of high key shot such as this. The low light doesn't bother me a bit, it rather gives the subject more lively look. The expression of the boy is what detract this from a good picture. I found if you want to have good people portrait, the most important is the people themselves.

Well, I wasn't very clear about the definition of voyeurism that I meant.
dictionary.com define voyeurism as:
voyᄋeur (voi-yûr)
n.
1. A person who derives sexual gratification from observing the naked bodies or sexual acts of others, especially from a secret vantage point.
2. An obsessive observer of sordid or sensational subjects.
If I took say 20 pictures of someone with interesting feature while following him/her to get that perfect lighting, will that be classified as definition number 2?

Just curious to understand where's the line between capturing
interesting object on the street and voyeurism. Do you approcah your
object once you captured their image? Do you just believe it is your
prerogative if you are in public places?
Just wondering.

Thank you everyone for responding.
I guess to a certain level, I do have to learn the technical side of photography. As some of you pointed ou, it will make me more proficient in realizing what I have in mind.

I just want to know how many of you are actually learning photography
through the technical details and how many just going by the instinct
and creative spur?
I'm a newbie and to tell you the truth I don't think I want to know
about the distance that I have to have for a certain light to work
with a csertain camera, all that stuff.
Does that make me a creative driven photographer or a slack?;)
