I'm planning to buy some 20-pack E100G 135 from an ebay seller. The seller says
it's dated 04/2007. I'm just wondering if there is any way to verify that once
I get the film. Thanks!

I've posted a question about using Vivitar 2800 on M7. I've decided not to use
it on my M7 anymore, but the problem is I have used the flash on my m7 for
about 30 shots. I'm worried that the camera has been fried already. Is there a
way to check? Thanks!

I know this has been asked before, but after searching the archive, no
satisfactory answer was found. SO I'm bringing up this issue again. Is it safe
to use vivitar 2800 on a M7? Thanks!

Does anyone have or know where I can buy film holders for Minolta
Elite 5400 II?
I must have been the most disappointed consumer of Konica Minolta. I
bought a refurbished Elite 5400 II scanner 6 months ago. But I've been
in hell ever since I placed the order online. After sending the
scanner back to Minolta twice, I finally realized the prolbme myself.
The film holders are not correct. The correct models should be FH-M20
and ***20, while the ones that came with mine were FH-M10 AND ***10. I
have been dealing with Minolta for 5 months over this issue, but they
told me the only way to solve this was to buy a copy of Sutterbug
magazine, and call up every dealer there to see if they have the
holders in stock. I swear I'll never, ever buy Minolta products again
in my whole life. Their after-sale service is like hell!BTW, the
dealer from whome I bought the refurbished scanner was
www.digitalfotoclub.com They never tested the scanner when they sold
it, c/z the adapter came in broken. And they might have known they
were sending out the scanner with the wrong film holders. Avoid them.

I'm thinking of getting a Nikon SLR and a portrait lens of the 90-110
range for portraits.
I wear contacts more of the time, but I also wear eye-glasses from
time to time.
My questions are as the following:
Will I have problem focusing with manual focus cameras?
autofocus and manual focus, which on is better for me?
there are lots of manual focus cameras from Nikon. If you think a
manual focusing camera is better for me, which one shoud I buy?
Thanks very much if you can help me make my decision.

I have a Leica 35mm f/1.4 summilux-m asph black , 9/9+ condition for
sale. Why? does I just got a pre-asph summicron. The lens was bought
at the end of last year, and has the original box and all the
accessories. I'm asking for $1900. Actual pictures are available on
request. Thanks!

Is it gonna be off entirely someday?

the on/off switch on my M7 seems to be loose. it doesn't stay at the
ON or the OFF position firmly. it moves around a little bit if you
touch it. Is that normal? Thanks!

The on/off switch on my M7 is a bit loose, by which I mean it doesn't
stay at the ON or the OFF position firmly. It can move around a little
bit at each position. Is that normal? Thanks!

I can send the lens back to KEH to return it, or have it fixed at no cost. Or I can send the lens to DAG, and the estimate is $35. I really like the size of the lens, so I guess i'm not returning it. But I doubt it that KEH will fix it back to normal. Any suggestion? DAG for 35 dollars, or KEH at no cost? Thanks!

Just bought a used pre-ash 35mm summicron from KEH. it's the 4th
version. there are two problems compared to my 35mm 1.4 asph. The
focus ring is to rigid, much harder than the one on my 1.4 to move
around. Is it common on this lens or I need to do something to fix it?
Then most importantly, the aperture ring feels loose compared to the
1.4 . It doesn't move around on itself, but it feels like it will!
When you turn the ring, it just feels like the dents have been worn,
and it's not crisp. and you can grab the ring back and forth, it
doesn't stay where it is, it moves back and forth, say 0.05mm? Is it
common on this lens? It's the canadian version. Is there anything I
can do about it?
Thanks very much!

Thanks for all your help. The reason I want a M7 is simply because of the AE. But I guess learning to live with a manual camera can give you better understanding of the light? The owner of the M7 would like to pay $300, but I'm really worried about the camera, just in case it refuses to work . It's not under warranty anymore, and has been serviced once to fix the on/off switch. To be honest, the MP finder rarely white out. I have only seen once or twice.

I have the chance to trade my MP for a M7. Bascially, the M7 is three
years older than my MP, and has been serviced once to fix the on/off
switch. I know it's not a fair trade, so I'm asking how much I should
ask to compenssate the difference between the conditions of the
cameras. BTW, the M7 doesn't have the new MP style finder. Does anyone
of you using an older finder M7 experience a lot of patch white-outs?
Thanks.
