Thanks Joelle,
I used a 300mm Zoom... which still got slightly wet... but thems the hazzards :). It's all dried and nice again now.
I take your point about the crop.. I will sort that, and see about the color levels. I put these photo's up (on the whole) unenhanced.. for guidance on how to improve the shot (such as youve given).
Thank you for your comments :)

Part of a series using color to explore my sons world.

Stunning.
The only comment i would make is that the shadows from the people in the boat suggests that the sun position is bottom left... which it obviously isnt. Removing those shadows cleans up that perception.

Thanks Leslie,
That 'Thing' infront of my son would be the curtain.. I didnt notice it till you pointed it out.. but then i knew what it was so didnt really think about it. Now it bug's the hell out of me :)
Next time i'll try and change the shot to not have it in..
Thanks for the advice.

I'm new to photography so, like others on this site, I would
appreciate some feedback on ways to improve the
quality/framing/general appearance of the pics I put up for critique.
Ive put up the originals (unenhanced) to get some feedback on what I
should do to tweak it.
All comments gratefully recieved. Paul J
