  1. Interesting, IDK what was up, but I see your likes today. (Thank you!!!!) I had trouble replying to a post yesterday as well, just would not post. So maybe there was something up with the server. (BTW, I have a weakness for the herding dogs, we have Australian Shepherds.)
  2. I was just going to suggest this. My husband has used lensrental a number of times, and it's a really cool service. It's actually how he talks himself OUT of buying something. :) He rents it, and decides it isn't quite what he wants or thinks it will be. Our local camera shop didn't have any D7500s to rent over Christmas, so he had lensrental.com send a kit straight to his mom's house in South Dakota, where we were going for the holiday. Super handy and convenient, and a great way to try before you buy.
  3. Not real dogs. ;) But at least it's kind of in the theme! D750+ a rented 24-70.
  4. A fun little addition to the camera bag. D750+Lensbaby Circular Fisheye
  5. Nope, they're yours if you want them! PM me your address if you are still interested.
  6. Hi all, I hope I'm allowed to do this, if not, please forgive me! I've been doing some cleaning up of my photo stuff, and I have an opened package of 100 4x5 Print File Negative preservers. I think there is one page missing. I tried to sell them on ebay but was unsuccessful. So I'll send these free to whomever wants them, within the continental US. Thanks! Julie
  7. Obligatory Christmas pictures. D740 60mm, 24-85. My nephew and my niece's fave present.
  8. I never fit the theme, still working on a backlog from Thanksgiving! D750 24-85, Rokinon 14mm.
  9. Definitely no snow here, plus I had to send my camera in for service. Still working on Bryce Canyon pics! D750 24-85 and Rokinon 14mm.
  10. D750, 24-85. I am learning lots about night shooting these days, but I never get tired of red rock, blue sky, and old junipers. And shooting into the sun...
  11. Day late and a dollar short. As always. We went to Bryce for Thanksgiving. Nikon D750, 24-85.
  12. Nikon D750, 24-85. GlacierNP.
  13. I don't know if you're ever interested in hiring a guide or doing a Yellowstone workshop, but I met this guy last summer in Big Sky who does both. I bought a photo of his at an art festival, talked to him for awhile. Nice guy. David Reeves Photography
  14. I'm in my busy season so I don't have much time to get out and shoot. So here's a picture from warmer times this summer.
  15. No spray, but still wet! D750 60mm, 24-85mm.
  16. I've been away from home for a couple weeks for work, but I got to drive thru spectacular scenery! Nikon D750, 24-70, 70-300. The second photo was my office for the night. The Utah Symphony performed in Dinosaur National Park, Utah last Saturday night.

Hi, this is my first attempt at night time photography. I really wanted to try to get the Milky Way, but it was too cloudy. Nonetheless, it was a great learning experience to get out and shoot in the dark, and I learned a lot. I know this photo isn't the best, and doesn't represent any sort of end product, but if you've done some night photography, please let me know if the technical details are working here. Is it in focus, acceptable exposure, etc. I did a little light painting of the foreground. Very minimal post processing, all done in Lightroom. Thank you for your advice!

  19. Yes, I'm very fond of saying that nothing makes for great sunsets like air pollution. :) Here in SLC we get lots of that...
  20. Dieter Schaefer, Those were exactly the type of images I'd hoped for in Glacier NP, but it wasn't to be...Beautiful!
  21. We just got back from Glacier and I'm going through my photos. It was very smoky while we were there, so I don't have a lot of vast landscape photos, but we still had a great time and now know what we want to do next time. :) D750, 24-85
  22. We are still enjoying wildflower season. D750 with 50mm, 18-35, LensbabyVelvet 85.
  23. I got really sick this week and didn't shoot anything, but here's a day lily from my yard. D750+Lensbaby Velvet85.
