  1. Life never ceases to amaze. While we shared the deep sorrow of our brethren in the earlier image we are now celebrating the advent of spring which represents new life with this colourful image. The hues of this  image will certainly fill our lives with joy and happiness much needed at this juncture. Great creation.

    Dahlia

The tenderness and the delicate qualities of the petals have been vividly portrayed. The colors are of a unique hue soft textured and tender.

  2. Amalda,

I took long to view the portrait since it has evoked such a lot of comments from valued viewers.I was also trying to understand the rapport which you enjoyed with this wonderful person.

I find a strange mixture of emotions playing on his visage. While the lips are parted flashing a heart winning smile the eyes portray a strange pathos in their depths.

Whatever little I have known about Baul way of life are the predominant twin philosophies of universal brotherhood and the seeking of the 'Moner manush" or the Soul within. While the smile welcomes you as his sibling the constant search for his inner self whom he may or may not have found expresses the tinge of sadness in the eyes.

Amalda. The smile says it all.The expression on her face is worth a million dollars.A very rare sight to observe these days. Perhaps you were able to touch her heart in some way to bring this out for us to marvel at.

    Intimate touch

Perfect timing. You have captured the right mood of the birds in their most intimate moment hence the privacy of darkness. The vivid red hoods of the birds appear as their flaming glories.I also liked the cropped version which shows the details of the features.

To discover form. color and texture in scenes which are commonplace is a rare gift that you possess. The results are very interesting some how the surface reminds me of the famous frescoes which adorn the walls of heritage sites in India like the Ajanta and Elora caves located in the western part of our country

    Son of the soil

The tousled hair and the calloused face gives this portrait a definite dimension away from the common. Both versions are good however my personal preference is for the colour.

  3. Nice study of the subject. There is a faint beginning of a benign smile on his countenance. The eyes are supporting this movement. The two contrasting varieties of bead garlands worn by the priest makes the image more interesting.
