I used to have traffic counter on my page. Now because of the HTML

restrictions, it is gone. Is it possible to accommodate any counter

that would represent the amount of visitors I get to my portfolio?

Yes Brian you have a valid point here. I am not complaining about my rates, it was just used to illustrate the point I was making.

 

Why some members can not be rated with 3/3 but some can?

 

It is not just my finding as you see above.

I had a similar problemm with rating. I rated a photo with 3/3 but the system did not take it. The same photo was shown in RR that it has two ratings already but when i checked it it was direct rating. Why it was shown as RR rating?

 

When I posted a pic for qritique i received 3/3 a minute after posting, how is that possible?

 

When I was rating I went trough maybe twenty photos in the row with 1 rating only and it was 3/3 .

 

I hate to say it but this whole thing just forces me to believe that rating system is controlled and some fhotographers are favored more then others despite the fact that we all pay the same members fee.

Most people around the world were raised in families and were taught some moral values. This category will be the best judge to the individual's moral values.

You talking of a Dark Humor. My intent is show this funny moments you encounter shooting animals, kids, anything. Of course in the tasteful aspect of the topic. For those who have problem with deciding if it fits, check dictionary under funny or humor.

I would like to propose a new category "HUMOR" instead -UNCATEGORIZED-

which is never used.It will put smiles on people's faces and easy the

tention on this side caused by ratings.

 

Another proposal is to show the category in -Rate Recent- it will

help to better judge the pic( knowing the authors point of view).

Photos are not showing in critique forum

I posted a pic for critique but it is not shown in critique forum,

although it is marked in my workspace as one and i can't repost it

again.

If you go to "Critique By Category" you will notice that almost every other category has at least one missing photograph.

Thank you for a comment Gustavo . Yes english is my second language and I should pay more attention to spelling and grammar. I acknowledge the fact that some members just comment or participate in forums, but it shows on their pages what they comment and how many times. There are some member's pages that show only their names with no other info. Some of them established years ago. Some of those members comment on other members work, but it does not show on their pages. Some of them rate pictures and it does not show to.

I think YOU know exactly what I am talking about. How can you post a message when your accOunt was removed. This is the message from your page "This user account is deleted from the community"

I noticed that some mamber are name only. Their sites does not show

portfolio, nor their ratings or comment. I know that they comment

other poctures and portfolios but their site does not reflect that.

Rating using like or dislike is for kindergarten kids. This site is intended for people with some knowledge. We were given a scale from 1 to 7 to rationaly express our subjective opinion on other people point of view. Many times we encounter ratings from members that are still at kindergarden level, therefore it will be very difficult for one to measure ther true performance.

 

Tip to less enlighted members: if you don't understand the image it does not mean it is automaticaly 1/1 or 2/2, therfor if you have dilemma just give it an average 4/4 which does not hurt anyone either way.

I agree with Glenn. the Photo.net should watermark all uploaded photos preventing it from stealing by others. Plus the picture should be annonymus when rated.
