it's definitely well stuck together and the panoramic view of a colourful place is really impressive. the murky logs under water are a nice detail. best wishes hugo

The horsetail is reflected in snow melt within a small crater. It was
clouding over after a beautiful morning...all comments welcome!

hi andrey,
i really like the mood, the composition and the way that the leaves are so three dimensional. in my opinion the photo would be just as good or better without the effects on the top and bottom edges....6/6, hugo -
any comments would be much appreciated!

i can't understand why this photo is getting low ratings....it's really original and the out-of-focus man in the foreground is a good touch. 5/6. best wishes, hugh

i really like the colours, the vegetation in the foreground, her expression and in general the sensitivity of the photo - far better than most of the nude work on this site, which seems to be done by men who see women as objects with breasts!

Hello!
This image shows buttercups in the foreground, steam rising from thegeothermal power station in the mid distance and the volcanoGaesafjall in the background.
I quite like the selective field of view, but do you?
Any comments would be most appreciated!

The Basque strongmen are amazing to watch and your photo's great, it's really caught the strain these guys put themselves under. Great photo!

Thanks for the kind comments, Jamie.
I haven't manipulated the image in any way, so the abrupt change from water to land must be due to the amazing light that afternoon, possibly combined with a cheap lens!
Best wishes, Hugo -
Hi,
This is a photo of Stickle Tarn in the English Lake District takenfrom Jack's Rake in November 2004. There is some glare from the sun onthe right hand side because I don't own any filters but I don't thinkit spoils the picture too much...do you?
The shimmery surface of the tarn was due to hundreds of fish rising.Any constructive criticism would be much appreciated!

Hi Jamie,
As always, thanks for your really kind and useful comments. I wish I could go back there and shoot the picture again as you suggest, it's a good excuse for another trip to Iceland. When I took the shot there was a group of 20 geologists waiting for me and I had to be quick, it was a shame! Cheers, Hugo
