One of "classic" photos of Old Man of Storr, Isle of Skye. It was
completely dark at the time we arrived to the parking place and we
were really surprised that the dense forest we were used to see there
disappeared - for a short time we believed we were on wrong place.
Lonely boat at the jetty on the northern side of Loch Suaineabhal,

Larry Greenbaum: Thank you for the compliment. During last year's holidays, we visited not only Lewis, but also Uists and Eriskay (where we spent 3 days). Lewis with Callanish, Carloway broch, Butt of Lewis lighthouse and other well known places is a tourist attraction compared to them. But the times are changing and even these places can be accessed easily. During my first visit of Scotland in 1995, the Skye bridge was before completion and now, Skye can be reached by car in a few hours from Edinburgh or Glasgow (and most known places such as Old Man of Storr are full of people during the season) . Sometimes I feel a bit nostalgic about "old times", when the traveling to such places was not so easy and more "adventurous", but honestly, it's unlikely I would have visited them in these times.
