Cropping definitely emphasises the focus points. It cuts down on the time you have to look at the picture, before meaningfullness kikcs in...& time is money! So..

The lack of just one focus point is intended. But if you look at it for a while, the focus point is shared by three people: -the girl walking assertively in the right end, -the disoriented businessman in the middle, -and the older businessman, looking down on the far left!

The title (People living thir Life)is defenitly a huge part of this picture. Standig alone, this picture would be quite meaningless and unrewarding. The title tells you what to look for. Then you can read into the foucus point people what you like...

Personaly i prefere surreal...

The yellownes in the skin is most likely caused by the geneticts of japanese people, the greenish im not so sure...
