I meant you could still have the two flashes on the ring and control them wirelessly
through the camera instead of through the SU-200 unit.

I am looking into purchasing the Nikon R1 kit instead of the R1C1 one. As I got to know, one can use
the built in flash of the Nikon D200 instead of SU200, to control the two flashes. I could not find any
information on that matter. Does anyone know if one can achieve the same results with the camera as
with SU-200? Thanks for your attention and input!

I am interested in the R1C1 flashes. Also, I am curious if anyone has taken any pictures with them. What
are the advantages of having this flash duo vs other macro flashes? Thanks for your help!

And, do you know of any website, where I can take a look at pictures taken with this
system?

Thanks, I didn't know about the other pieces. What would be the advantage of having this
kit vs having two small flashes on arms? The arms are usually up to a foot and a half from
the lens.

Thanks, I looked at this one, but the ring is a little bit obstructive. I need something with
extending arms that can go on a variety of lenses - 55mm Micro, 60mm Micro and
105mm Micro Nikkor lenses.

Does anyone know what kind of flashes would I need for macro shooting with my digital Nikon. I am
looking for a set of two, not a ring flash. Thanks for your time!

Does anyone know what is the best wide angle 72mm C-PL filter that I can use on my Digital Nikon?
Or what is so special about Kaeseman?
Thanks for your time!

thanks a lot! Which one in particular? Is it only one type?

Does anyone know what kind of modes on Nikon D200, or plug-ins for PhotoShop so I can achieve the
same results on the digital image as if I have shot it on Velvia 50?
-
Dear friends,
Recently I acquired a new lens - wide angle for my digital Nikon. The diameter is 72mm. So far, I have
been using a 20mm wide angle lens for my Nikon FM2 camera with a mounted 62mm wide angle Nikon
C-PL filter. That filter could allow me to put even graded filters on top of it without vignetting.
My question is: What would be the best 72mm wide angle C-PL filter for digital use (if there is any
difference from the film cameras), that could be utilized by my wide angle lens, and could even take
some more glass on top without vignetting?
Sorry for the long question and thanks for your attention!

Hi,
Recently, I bought Velvia 100 (not 100F) and tought that it will work the same way as the
50. I was wrong. The 100 seems to be more reddish and requires to be adjusted 1/3-2/3 f
stops down on my Nikon FM2. The past fall, I shot lots of foliage. Very bad compared to
Velvia 50. The yellow looks like ochra or orange, the red goes to brown. Overall, the colors
were somehow dead. I sent the films to Fuji to be examined and they claimed that if
anything, 50 is more reddish than 100. They were also very kind to send me their tests. I
was surprised that even their film behaved "reddishly". Has anyone experienced the same
problems before?

Thank you all for the helpful suggestions. So far, the analog gain seems to serve the
purpose. I am testing some of the other options as well.

Thanks David,
I guess I can keep the scanner if I manage to get what I want!

Thanks, the problem is that my images are a little bit dull and muddy after scanning. I got
on the line with a representative from Nikon. He advised me to re-install the software and
re-set the factory settings. Unfortunately, those were all the advises a Nikon rep can give
me. He didn't even know how Velvia behaves and had no idea about Macs. Sad!

Hi,
Three days ago, I bought Nicon CoolScan V after researching a lot on the web. For the past
couple of days I have been struggling to get normal colors and exposures on my slides, all
taken on Velvia 50. Quite dissapointing. I have 10 days left before I decide to return or
keep the scanner. One last thing, I have developed a lot of my pictures at Slidescanner, CO
from my Velvias. I have also scanned the prints on a normal flat bed scanner. Well, all the
scanned prints look much better than what I get from my new CoolScan V.
Please, give me some advise on what I do wrong, how should I improve my scans and
should I keep the scanner!
Thanks, Andrey
Has anyone used the built in flash to control the flashes from the R1 Macro kit?
