David, it's rare that I do a composit of two other's images (it's only when I cruise the RR que and discover images that go together in an odd way. only once before). Glad no offense was taken.
I am a dog man through and through.
I used to put all info on images but many of my uploads you see now were done in batches . . . so if there's anything you are curious about, simply ask.
I'm happy to see this one get so many views. Thanks for the comments, too.
What do you call this dog, if you don't mind?

Well yeah, but that's its charm.
Title? "Triple Mocha, please; it's cold out here."

this feels like HDR, so I won't rate is as a photo. the smile is fun and the image is beautiful. well done

Nice blustery shot, chris. It's just me, but I keep wanting to frame it further left.

Awesome shot, well seen. Ancient depiction of a future event -- war of the worlds. Ironic too. r i q

Nice action shot of your lil doggy hurling through space. Made me think of the star wars sequence when they rode the aircycles through the Redwoods.
Anyway, I think the background is a little mundane, so I took the liberty of splicing in a more appropriate background. Hope it's ok. If not just ask and I can delete it.

I can imagine alien explorers from outer space finding this and going, "WTF?"
nice find, Jamie

We should send her money to help care for these creatures.

Well this is cool. The falling snow adds a unity. Great cowscape. r i q

Working Dog....says it all. These dogs are so obssessed with doing there thing you can see it all right here. I rated it high to get it into my gallery. It's a relatively static image, but the expression adds a whole world of excitement.
There is a connection here between subject and photographer too, that to me seems so rare on PN.
David I rated this a while back in the que. Congrats.

Lalit, nice shot for so late in the morning. Also thanks for sharing your commentary. I think you are right about early morning on the river. I shot here at sunset with a little success but I was not on or near the water.

Iaroslava, this is a fine composition. I appreciate the way the distant shore and near shore frame (and balance) your subject. Also the harmony shared by their respective edges (the jagged edge of the near gress, the jagged tree line reflected in the water) lends another unifying element to the whole. The fog hovering over the river at the horizon also adds an element of interst without distracting from the whole.
The highlight in the sky is unfortunate for some, but we get to see the sky in the reflection. The image is just too nice as a whole to dwell on this too much. I like what you decided to show us. congrats!

Lalit, I know exactly where this spot is. But I didn't shoot it (because I didn't find it while I was there, although I looked). It wasn't until later when viewing some images I had taken in the bentonite hills that I was able to locate this configuration of rocks (east side of road, off the road, way down the hill).
Nice shot and comp.
Where do you live (if you don't mind saying)?

hi, the tones seem all confused

Orange in and of itself is not an aesthetic principle.
This is largely a 1/3 orange balancing 2/3 blue (1/3 shade balancing 2/3 tint) roughly, tied together losely with the light poles.
interesting image

Tyler, it could be he was upset and all self-conscious about leaving his rope out to rot.
