Mario, keep the 85mm on order - it's almost out of stock everywhere because the demand is so great for it. Once you have it - you most likely will never use the the 50. Get the 17-40 - it is a very fine lens & not a pain in the ass to carry around. I considered the 70-200 but it's too large & not for what I shoot & that's mostly portraits. The 50 is too short. 60 EF-S macro too sharp (returned it)

You should of bought the 350XT body instead of the 20d. Get the 70-200
f4. Keep the 17-40 - I love this lens.

The film was Tri-X. I developed 2 rolls. One in HC-110 (b) for 6 minutes. The second roll in D76 full strength for 7 minutes. As I said, the grain was horrible in the HC-110 as compared to D76. Is this normal?? Can I get a finer grain by changing to a different dilution with HC-110?
-
D76 at full strength vs HC-110 (dilution B) assuming temperature at
68 degress for both & preferred times used - Which developer will
have the worst grain?? I just used HC-110 (dil b) for a project and
the grain was horrible.
-
everyone says there wrong!
-
Ann - what dilution? I think you previously said in other posts 6 minutes when you shot at 200ASA.
-
I need to process a bunch of Tri-X shot at ASA400. What dilution &
time would give me fantastic negs with the developer at 68 degrees
with agitations 5 secs every 30 seconds? Remember - I shot these at
400ASA - all the stuff I'm reading was shot on this post has been
more around 200ASA.
-
So Alan - your comfortable with dil (H) at 8 minutes at 68 degrees as a result of your testing?
-
Still confused - Kodak charts, Covington site, the threads, all different - what is the tried & tested technique here at 68 degrees shot at asa 400 Tri-X?
-
Will I get nice results with Tri X shot at 400 developed in HC-110
dilution B at 68 degrees for 6 minutes? I'll agitate 10 seconds every
30 seconds. I'm using a condensor enlarger. Please share thoughts - I
have alot of film to develop & it's been awhile.

Film is dying - remember the Super 8, 8 16 movie film cameras? No demand!!! It's all video & digital.

This lense is perfect. Includes the box, case, shade, caps. $650.00

In my opinion - most were made with a 35mm.

Is it true HCB used nothing but a 50mm lens on his Leica M & nothing
else?
-
Joey - nice response, but how many minutes??
-
My specific question is - how much development time??
-
Which HC-110 dilution B,C,D,E would be best to develop Tri X 120 size
film exposed at 400ASA. I used to use D76 1:1 & was happy with the
results. I need to know the dilution ratio & time since I'm changing
to HC-110. These variables are throwing me a curve ball. I'm going to
have the developer temp at 68 degrees. A condensor enlarger will be
used. I'm familiar with the Convington site but need your tried &
tested input. Thanks for all you help.
-
Ron, I shot the Tri-X at 400 - what changes should I make?
-
I want to start using HC-110 and achieve the same look as D76 1:1
with my Tri X 120 film. Can anyone give me their proven results with
development times, dilution, & temps. I'm going to print on my
condensor enlarger. Thanks
-
I recently had to shoot a project with Ilford 3200 B&W film and I
shot it at 3200 ASA. I need to know from someone with experience what
time & temp I should develop in D76 1:1.(have tons of this stuff) I
use a condensor enlarger. I have no margin to experiment! It was 120
size film

According to Mamiya the optical quality of the KL is identical to the 180W-N. I have the Pro S & RZ II & the KL I can use on both bodies with no battery power - that to me is a huge advantage for that reason alone. In fact, I'm gathering lenses of the KL type to use on the RZ II - so you will be fine!!
-
Make sure the winder slot door is open on the bottom of the the camera body. I don't know if the winder will work on the that body. My winder is a Pro II for my Pro II body.

Will a 40X Lexar Compact Flash Card improve the time speed on image
recording & retrival of images over the standard type of card on a
Canon A80?

Jim, I own almost every high end camera in the world & I'm truly amazed at the Canon A80 masterpiece!! I'm thinking of getting the the Canon D10 - what for?? The A80 is replacing M6 dinasour!!
