  1. The "filter caps" picture that James have attached, have the same function as the the version I have linked to. Only minor differences in apperence. The "filter caps" can store as many filters as you want. The kit will only be longer the more filters that you connect.

    Please not that all filters must have a filter thread in both ends, i.e., B+W slim filters does not have a filter thread in the front.

  2. I use Filter Stack Cap, great to carry several filters in a small size. Just mount them together and set the Filter Stack Cap in the neds. You need a Filter Stack Cap for every filter size that you have.

    <p>

    B&H have these for example; <a href="http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/101709-REG/General_Brand__72mm_Filter_Stack_Cap.html">http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/101709-REG/General_Brand__72mm_Filter_Stack_Cap.html</a>.

  3. For travel protection of my camera stuff, I wonder which is the smallest Peli

    case that will fit my Canon equipment. Living in a small town in Sweden, I do

    not have any local Peli store, but must order it from the web...

    My stuff is;

    * Canon EOS 3 (soon a 30D or 5D) without battery pack

    * Canon 16-35/2.8L

    * Canon 50/1.4

    * Canon 70-200/2.8L

    * Canon 400/5.6L

    * Canon 580EX

    I would like a case with padded dividers.

    BR,

    Niklas

  4. Still outside, put the camera and lenses in an airtight plastic bag; also put some silica gel in the plastic bag. Wrap your cold jacket around the plastic bag (contain your camera equipment) and take it indoors. The cold jacket will make the camera equipment to slowly get warm; the plastic bag will avoid the hot (moisted) air indoors to condensate on the photo equipment. And the silica gel will absorb any moister inside the plastic bag.
  5. Eos 1 is the "father" to the Eos 1 pro family. The camera was released in September 1989.

    Eos 1n is an updated Eos 1, and it was released November 1994.

    Eos 1n has depending on which battery pack/motors that is using different name:

    Eos 1n DP, uses the duel battery pack BP-E1

    Eos 1n HS, uses the motor PB-E1

    Eos 1n RS is special models that is based on Eos 1n, but have a fixed, semi-transparent pellicle mirror, and have continuous shooting speed of 10 fps. The Eos 1n RS was released in March 1995.

    Eos 1v is the latest/present camera in the Eos 1 family; the camera was released in March 2000. If you connect the motor PB-E1 to an Eos 1v, then you have an Eos 1v HS.

  6. On the Swedish site, <a href="http://www.fotosidan.se">fotosidan.se</a>, Olle Bjernulf have made a test with long lenses, heavy tripods and MLU; <a href="http://www.fotosidan.se/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10923">http://www.fotosidan.se/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10923</a>

    <p>

    I have translated the most important stuff in the article bellow;

    <p>

    1, light tripod; Velbon maxi 343 weight 1kg<br>

    2, medium weight tripod; Manfrotto 055 + heavy ballhead, weight 3kg<br>

    3, heavy tripod, (tripod used by surveyor) weight 6kg<br>

    <p>

    'a', is without MLU and 'b' is with MLU, i.e. '1a' is a light tripod without MLU and '2b' is a medium weight tripod with MLU.

    <p>

    The camera is Nikon F3 and the lens is a Sigma 500/7.2, shutter time is 1/4s. The photographed item is a newsmagazine photographed on a 7m distance. The published picture is about 1x1 from the slide.

    <p>

    Also Fritz Pölking has written an article about MLU and image stabilization, you can read it here; <a href="http://www.poelking.com/wbuch/scharf/index_e.htm">http://www.poelking.com/wbuch/scharf/index_e.htm</a>.

    <p>

    Cheers,<br>
