the camera is self-modified, wich means that I took the 'hot mirror' out of it and replaced it with an IR-pass filter, so it only takes IR pictures, at high shutter speeds.

one of the first warmer days this past spring in Wroclaw, Poland. IR.

appealing effect, though has a bit too 'artificial' look for me..

and the edge of the building got blurred while, probably, working on the sky noise..

tones are great, but Mt. Denali right in the middle might have not been the best idea..

Mt. Denali (aka McKinley), Alaska. it's obscured by the clouds 80% of

the time and this summer it was even more...

I think the horizon line is tilted to the left a little bit.. colours are great though.

btw, haven't I seen you at Savage River some time ago, going after a pika? :) I remember seeing a D2X ;)

Mona - I'm not adding colour, it's there, just alterating it :) and an alpenglow is a glowing mountain in rising or setting sun, when everything else hardly glows, isn't it? it doesn't have to be shown as red.. I don't think there's any problem with IR, one just may like it or not - just like anything else :) thanks

a bit unsharp, wich probably might have been sharpened in ps instead of the 'fake rain' wich seems a bit over-the-top for me...

J Perez - actually not. I just kad my IR camera on me.. but from my experience I know a regular shot would be much less impressive. at that time you could hardly see the redness of the glow with a naked eye

if you straightened the horizon line and croped off the brighter rocks and grass on the bottom, this would be a great photo.. the horizon is a good test of this lens' distortion by the way
