I bought a Fotoman 617 Mk-IIL Kit with Rodenstock 90/6.8 Grandagon-N. I love the
idea of work with this camera.
My problem is that I can't enlarge wider than 5 inches, 125 mm. I'll appreciete
ideas to use this camera in that wide and print full frame.

I love the subject, I spend a lot of time traveling Mexico City, is the natural way to live here, so, Social landscape seems to be a great genre to work with. Don't think so? and if you do, could we define a set of rules?

As Robert Capa used to say: "if your photos aren't good is because you are not close enough". My preferences are 24mm to 35mm primes. In another way of thinking, the lens choice depends, sometimes, in your style, if you are a "fly on the wall" maybe you go for longer lenses; if you "get involved" you'll work with wider.<div></div>

"Jose Martinez is from Oaxaca and Mexico City. He lives in Mexico City and is a successful businessman. Photographically, he has a huge visual range accompanied by great technique. The images in this exhibition focus on his documentary work with the major theme of death in Mexico. Some of the images are very beautifully serene; others are emotionally charged and frightening. Together, they make a very powerful statement about our inevitable future." Mary Ellen Mark.

This is my first visit to the digital darkroom forum, I'm looking for
some advise on multiformat scanners. In my search, I found out that
people uses in a very random way DPI and PPI.
The question is:
it is true that PPI means pixels per inch and DPI dots per inch?
if you scan an image, negative or positive, you scan pixels per inch,
and if you print and image you print the scanned pixels per inch at
"X" dots per inch, don't you?
isn't it true that if you scan a 35mm neg at 3200 ppi and resize it,
without resampling, to 8x10 inchs you have and image to print at 440
ppi (pixels per inch) with the resolution you decide upon the
capabilities of your printer, let say 720 dpi (dots per inch)?
thanks Jose Martinez
