You can overexpose like 0.5-0.7EV as well.
Do some level correction, add the white layer above and blend it at your like.
My try, not the same kind of image but here it goes:

Hi
1st time in many years here that I can't upload images to my workspace.
I get data base error, I tried several diff images and nothing.
Yesterday night I uploaded some without problems so I guess the problem has to be in the servers?
Thanks
Aginst DSLR the 2 good points I can come up are the macro (you do not need an extra lens) and the wide DOF.
DSLR are much better regarding IQ, ISO perfomance, variety of lenses, etc, etc.

I could look my screen and try to paint by hand the exactly the same colors. I would not need ICC.

Make sure the SW works fine.
If it is fine then is a drivers problem.
Remember that 64b OS requires 64b drivers when using a new HW.
-
As far is XP pro 64, fine, but remember that there are problems with drivers.
I am in the same dilema my self, i don't want to go for Vista.

Nonsense you will not loose anything if you HD is at more than 50% of the capacity. Of course if you don't do backup then you might loose all.
Buy an external HD, keep the RAW for yourself and send 8 bits images (even jpeg works) to the magazine.

"You need to use capable and expensive camera so there are better chances that you are serious about photography"
So what a Canon 30D is doing there, any person that like photography and have some spare money can buy a 30D (I know persons that have 30D and shoot very badly images so are they serious?).
Getty's list is old, they do not have any idead that Pentax or Sony do capable cameras at same level or even better than the 30D or D200.
And this is just an example.

Hi
Maybe this has been asked before (I can't find it).
It is possible to delete more than one image per folder from your portfolio?
If not, it iwll be possible to do this in the future, is very tedious to delete
images one by one, if you have many.
Thanks and sorry again if this has be asked before.

The sigma 17-70 is a great one, I hve it on my 5D and is superb.
Another nice one is the sigma 24-135/2.8-4.5, you could buy it cheap.

Was a RAW fil or a jpeg?
Anyway a dig sensor will not be as sharp as a film.
You always need to do some resharping in PS before printing.

At the end of the European summer we will see some new models and I suposse the flag ship will be out next year.

I do not agree that Sony do bad quality things.
Sony have 25 years of digital image experience, what about digital film cameras? There are pro cameras there too from them.
My syster have a DSC-707 from 99 (a 5MP) that is still working perfec.t
The cheaper electronic equipment we get at home is as bad/good as Philips Sharp or other company.

They seem great, the prisma one can be a FF or a 1,3x maybe?
Even 1,1x.
-
They will present two bodies, sensor APS size, 12 and 14MP maybe.
