Go to 99 cent store, buy a plastic picture frame, cut it fit and sand paper one side. You will see how excellent it is. Good luck with your camera.

Yes you can check in older posts in May 06. I posted in this forum about converting old folders to use 120 roll film and 135 roll film.

Hi Michael
It's a Kodak Art Deco 616 convert to 6x12 format. Minh

Here is another one.

Yes the RB67 is a hell better one

The Yashica Mat should have Yashinon lens is about $65.00 on Ebay. You might get an as is buy, look for another with return option and keep this one for spare or references. I have one works really good without CLA for 10 years, just keep it in a cool place. Good luck.

At least I can tell you I do the best to convert it by myself. The camera has the advancing system, the film holder, the masks, the film frame counter. The view-finder masked to 6x12. I did change the lens to make it wide-angle, I did make it larger to 6x15, I did make it to take 135 roll-film in 24x135mm format and it works excellent. Look at the pictures in Alternative cameras .Polaroid cameras and see how they are improved. Minh

Comment allez vous Jean Louis ?
I got even spaces between exposures by using frame counter. Yes, you got to finish the roll-film to change format, the conversion's all done inside the camera so you won't see much different before and after. I will finish my converting procedures step by step very soon and hopefully send you one to get some excellent ideas to improve the cameras in future. Anyway I got the picture developped to 24x36 and so much details. Why not revive these Legend cameras?

Yes Heller, the masks and the pressure plate keep the film flat so I can take panorama format to 24x135mm. The film-counter help to keep even spaces exactly compared to other classic folders. Besides you can adjust the focusing scale after the camera converted and use ground glass to set the final adjusment so there's not much to worry about it.

Nice pictures from an oldie. You should have a Bayonet 1 lens shade, if you need a lens cap I can send you one. I have couple cheapy ones replacement I got on Ebay. Thanks for sharing your joy with your Yashica. I do like mine a lot, Minh
-
It should be a brand-new one, I remember I bought a like-new one couple year ago with the counter at 3, every roll I shot the number comes up 1. Minh

Hi Degre.
You have one of the best Polaroid to convert to 120 and 135 roll film. If you are a handy man you can do it, look at 2 threads of Patrick Demsey to have some thinking and preparing first. Later you can do it, you need a press drill or ask some one who can drill a 1/4 precision hole for you, make a film advance shaft, a roll film holder choose whatever format you want and make masks to use with.
I made 6x12, 6x9, 6x6, 6x4.5, 24x104mm and 24x60mm etc for my cameras. with a Polaroid you can have a multi film and multi format camera and enjoy a Legend of America. Good luck, decide for your self and contact me if you need help. Minh

I did put color film in mine. The results are excellent if you are not underexposed. Good luck and Thanks for being classic camera fan.

Your Yashica Mat has a Yashinon 3.5, It has the same lens with the later Mat 12; 24 and 124 and really is an excellent TLR. I got beautiful pictures with mine developped to 16 x 20 and really clear.
Enjoy your camera and show us some nice bikes. Minh

The good and cheap one is Polaroid 250 about $10 + shipping on Ebay.

If you get a QL17 with 40mm lens, you should keep it. It's the last model made in Japan. P/S digital cameras cannot make pictures with that kind of quality from the Canonet. It just take couple of rool films for learning a fantastic classic and you can get a copy of the manual on line. Good luck with your camera.

You don't need to cock the shutter on T and B. I did try on my Volenda 620. Minh
-
With that amount you can get a better folder which uses 120 roll film. Such as a Zeiss Ikon or a Voightlander.

Polaroid 664 and 665 for B&W, 669 for color,
665 films have negatives. Check out at Polaroid.com

In my Polaroid converted to 24x135mm you get 6 pictures if you're lucky. So I use 36 exposure roll film to get 9 pictures. Minh
6x9 or 6x8.3
