does he use flash at all and how does he meter his scenes?

I recently had an M lens modified to have 6 bit coding. Also performed was a
CAE, FC and an RC. Does anyone know what these initials mean? Thanks.

I noticed that you said you had some spots on your negs and had to post clean them. That has happened to me also and I ended up bringing them into a lab and having them cleaned. They suggested less of the drying agent. I did but still had some spots. Now I will try distilled water for the final bath and even less drying agent, which I have yet to do. How do you avoid such spots and how do you clean them yourself afterwards?

I am going to develop my first roll of film. I have a black bag and will mix
the cehmicals in the kitchen. Is there a problem with poisonous fumes and how
should I deal with these fumes. I'll wear gloves and eye protection and old
clothes but what about the vapors.

Mr. K. what has been your experience with this lens?

Does anyone have experience using the new leica M 50 1.4 asph versus the older
non asphe model and if so what is your experience? How do the images compare
wide open and stepped down? Rate both if you will on a scale of 1 to 10 that
way I can get a sense of the difference. Thanks.

I have been using a leica M6 as my main camera for some time and
would have machine prints made with mixed results. Now I scan the
prints myself and then have them made and the results are incredibly
better. So much so that I seldom use flash and am able to adjust
exposure, color, etc. with the scan. It seems to be the best of both
worlds. Leica is simple to use, very discrete and dependable with
superb lenses. All I really need to carry is the camera, 1 or 2
lenses and an incident meter - bearly breaking 5 pounds. I do have
an SLR system with all the 2.8 lenses that are bulky, heavy and
scream out "camera". I barely use it and don't miss it. When I use
100 speed film the results are great.
Is any one else working this way and if so, do you have any other
suggestions using this approach.
viewfinder
in Leica and Rangefinders

I have used Nikon SLR and with the F-100 basically what you see is what you
get. With the rangefinder, in particular the .72 that is not the case when
using a 35 or 50mm lens. It seems you get more than what is in the
framelines. Using this viewfinder and the corresponding lenses how does one
compensate so that the image you want to capture is the one that you do?
