thought provoking. It makes a person wonder what her life is like down there.

Have you entered or are planning to enter this one in the Banff Mountain Photography contest at the banff centre yet? Because the judges are sure to know just how rare and wonderful this is. If you haven't and are interested just google banff centre and you'll find it. I'm sure you know about this because your fellow timecatchers Darwin Wiggett and Marc Adamus have both been honoured in this show (with Adamus taking top prize in 07).

I've long since given up on p.net as a place where I can get constructive critiques. I pretty much use this place as a repository for all my work, I would have left for greener pastures a long time ago only it's too much work to get started somewhere else.
This one is ok, I usually try to avoid jet streams but it helps lead the eye to the hill nicely.

Those are star trails. Exposure time was some 400 seconds or so. Thanks for viewing everyone.

I enjoy the composition here, the eye wanders nicely from the bird, to the posts, to the boat. Very well seen and composed.
As for what could be done better... the rule of thirds is more strictly obeyed if you were to lose some of the sky but I don't know if that would help the image. bisecting the horizon down the middle is effective here as the water so nicely reflects the natural purplish to blue gradient in the sky creating some very pleasing symmetry.
I think this one is a keeper. There are those who might want some sky cropped out but I prefer it this way. Well done.

Wicked sky. The flowing lines between the two dunes is outstanding. Very well seen, wonderful moment in time.

the forground grasses set this seascape apart. Wonderfully balanced exposure between sky and forground. Very well done.

Great composition and choice of exposure length. Wonderfully balanced exposure between the sky and forground as well, to me the snow looks right.
