Thanks for the clarification. It has been about 15 years since I visited St. Sava, and that was in the middle of winter, so my recollection was a bit hazy. As a young kid 70 years ago I met a number of refugees staying at St. Sava who worked for a neighbor who had a landscape business. They all were very kind and to this day I still remember some of their first names. They are probably buried in the cemetery there, but I don't read cyrllic so if I was in the area I wouldn't know which graves to visit. BTW the reason I asked was I noticed one of your pictures of downtown Chicago and recognized the building I worked in for almost 30 years, so thought you might be a local. Very nice photos in your portfolio.

  1. I was determined to try to capture a foggy and snowy morning before sunrise at my local train station in McHenry, which is the end of a branch line. The two women wandered into view and I couldn't resist. Thanks for your comments and keep contributing. I try to be constructive in my comments, but occasionally come off as a bit crusty. But in the end, I hope it encourages people to find ways to achieve their goals.
  2. Thank you, Mike...coming from you that's quite a compliment. Like many of us, I just try to keep learning and seeing things in a particular way. Fog has become my friend rather than an enemy.
